Hypnotherapy is a natural way of dealing with negative perceptions, thought patterns and behaviour. Your subconscious is the root of your emotions and behaviour.

It is often sought as a way of dealing with issues such as anxiety, stress, phobias, lack of confidence, depression, weight loss and much more.

Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnosis?

The use of hypnosis to treat disease (hypnotherapy) has been around for a long time, in fact the British Medical Association approved the use in hypnotherapy in 1955, the American Medical  Association approved its use in 1958. Hypnosis is neither sleep nor awake, but is a deeply relaxed, altered state of consciousness which empowers the individual to allow beneficial, positive suggestions to be accepted by the unconscious mind, the part of us which stores our deepest beliefs, memories, fears and emotions. This sometimes neglected part of the mind exercises a large influence over our personality and our behaviour.

Hypnotherapy can be used to make positive changes in your life and to provide relief from a variety of physical and psychological symptoms, it is a brief, strategic therapy, one that is aimed specifically at finding a resolution to your problems as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible.

Some of the general conditions that may be treated with hypnosis include;

  • Stopping smoking
  • Phobias and fears
  • Weight control
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Skin conditions
  • Psychogenic infertility
  • Stress and insomnia
  • Performance anxiety
  • Post traumatic stress

What happens during a Hypnotherapy treatment?

I charge £50 for most one hour sessions including the complimentary free half an hour consultation. For smoking cessation it is £175 which is over two sessions (sometimes just one is all that is needed) using a combination of EFT and hypnotherapy, with two Cds to play at home. Call me for more details on the Hypno-band, the virtual gastric band which is over five sessions, the first session is up to two hours long and the subsequent sessions are one and a half hours long and includes four Cd’s at the cost of £350. My general weight loss sessions are five sessions long at the cost of £350 these are also one and a half hours long and include three Cds.

How long will a Hypnotherapy treatment last?

A full Reflexology session typically lasts around 50 minutes to an hour. First sessions can be longer because your Reflexologist will need to carry out a consultation with you to ensure that Reflexology is a suitable treatment for you.

While Reflexology is a therapy suitable for many people it is complementary to traditional medicine and should never be used in place of care from your primary healthcare providers. Complementary therapies are not a substitute for medical care. If you have, or suspect you have a health problem then you should always consult your GP.
