What is Hypnotherapy?
The use of hypnosis to treat disease (hypnotherapy) has been around for a long time, in fact the British Medical Association approved the use in hypnotherapy in 1955, the American Medical Association approved its use in 1958. Hypnosis is neither sleep nor awake, but is a deeply relaxed, altered state of consciousness which empowers the individual to allow beneficial, positive suggestions to be accepted by the unconscious mind, the part of us which stores our deepest beliefs, memories, fears and emotions. This sometimes neglected part of the mind exercises a large influence over our personality and our behaviour.
Hypnotherapy can be used to make positive changes in your life and to provide relief from a variety of physical and psychological symptoms, it is a brief, strategic therapy, one that is aimed specifically at finding a resolution to your problems as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible
