Teaching Two Styles of Reiki at the Navitas Centre

We teach two styles of Reiki at the Navitas Centre,

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki (Western Reiki) and Usui Reiki Ryoho (traditional Japanese Reiki).

rightf_quoteleft_quoteWe will help and guide you through your own experiences allowing you to work with Reiki in a way that is right for you. This is why we teach two styles of Reiki.

Our Western Style Reiki courses are based on the teachings of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki. These teachings were passed from Dr Hayashi (one of Mikao Usui’s students) to Mrs Takata. Mrs Takata then adapted the teachings to suit Western students.

Western Reiki courses focus on using Reiki as an external practice for healing yourself and others. By teaching you simple hand positions that can be used for balancing, healing and harmonising the mind, body and spirit. Many also find that the courses help with spiritual awareness and personal growth.

The overall aim of Western Reiki is to learn a simple but powerful holistic healing practice that allows you to use Reiki on yourself and others. Enabling you to live life in a more balanced and harmonious way.

We help you to achieve this by teaching you the following elements of Western Reiki.

However, we do separate level three into two parts, Reiki Master Practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher.

Reiki Level One

This is the starting point of your Reiki journey. This level helps you to reconnect with the unlimited source of Reiki.

Reiki Level Two

This level is for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Reiki and also for anyone who wishes to become a Reiki Practitioner.

Master Practitioner

This is the path of a Reiki Master. It is for those who feel that Reiki is a vocation for them.

Reiki Master Teacher

This level enables you to learn how to teach Reiki and how to carry out the Reiki attunements.

The teachings on our Japanese Reiki courses stem directly from Japan rather than via the West. These courses focus primarily on personal development and spirituality, and therefore enable you to become a more balanced and stronger Reiki Practitioner, putting you in the perfect place to help others.

When you work with Reiki internally you will begin to see the world differently, and in doing so will change how you interact with others. The overall aim of the Japanese journey of Reiki is to become Reiki, allowing Reiki to be part of your everyday life as opposed to just using it as a healing practice.

We help you achieve this by teaching you the five major elements that make up the complete Japanese system of Reiki

Shoden Level 1

The Japanese meaning for Shoden is beginner or first teachings. This level teaches you a solid foundation for your personal practice.

Okuden Level 2

Okuden translates to hidden teachings. This level teaches symbols and mantras for deepening your practice.  This level also focuses on working with Reiki more intuitively and enhancing the understanding of the Reiki energy.

Note of Levels

Reiki is an energetic practice and so can only be experienced energetically. This means that time should be taken between levels, there should be no hurry to move onto the next level until you have properly internalised the new energy levels. Reiki is a lifetime practice and a journey into self discovery.
